Movie Info
KILLL THE RECORD LABELS documents independent hip-hop's takeover of the record industry. At one point, young artists were coming straight from the streets only to have a corporation make a buck off of them. But, when they began studying and adopting the record-label business model for themselves, they became successful and powerful entrepreneurs in their own right. This riveting documentary doesn't shy away from the dark side of such power.
