Not the biggest Brad Pitt fan, but I have to admit KILLING ME SOFTLY sounds highly intriguing. Why do I have the feeling there is going to be a good amount of dark comedy/irony in it?

Watching the trailer makes it pretty clear that there will be a good of comedy, both obvious and subtle, backing the drama of the movie.

Trailer is somewhat misleading. Better prepare for worse.

Speaking of "Killing Me Softly," I'm really getting tired of Hollywood studios doing the lazy, cynical, exploitative thing and imitating or outright stealing popular song titles in order to name their movies.

The original title, "Cogan's Trade", would have been better, but this was probably a marketing decision. It's not like they've been using Roberta Flack in the trailers though.

Rock Hard for the Soft Kill! It's been too long since I've seen a good Ray Liotta-ass-whooping movie. Look at him in the trailer. You know he's getting his ass whooped through the whole movie.

Not enough ass-whooping? The Mighty Donnie Yen is back with "Dragon"!

Because I also got the Hot Rocks for the recently aired Stones doc "Crossfire Hurricane", I'm definitely in the mood for some ass-whooping power-trio classic rock too. It better have some Fela footage!

Have been looking forward to Killing Them Softly for what seems like forever, cannot wait to finally check it out.

I am sort of baffled that The Collector got a sequel given that virtually nobody saw it. Eventhough Saw is dead, the dudes who made the bank off of it continue to try and sell the torture porn genre.

Speaking of unnecessary sequels, I am really surprised the new Universal Soldier film is not getting universally panned, especially since I hear Van Damme is little more than a glorified cameo.

Perhaps the reviewers should familiaise themselves with thw stunning source novel from George V. Higgins - Cogan's Trade. You might recall the Freinds of Eddie Coyle? Same great writer.

Nothing I want to see this week. Think I'll finally get around to watching "The Amazing Spider-Man" and re-watching "Brave" this weekend, and maybe "ParaNorman" if I decide to get it.

Never thought there's going to be a second part of The Collector. One of worst movies I've ever seen. I guess producer never learns.

Don't be fooled. Aside from an inventive kill (designed to make you squeal WOW!!), the great Ray Liotta (who deserves an Oscar nod for it) and interesting work by Scoot McNairy, it's not as great as it thinks it is as it trots out the old "America isn't a country, it's a business" adage. Certainly better than Cosmopolis (which it echoes in theme) but then, that wouldn't be hard would it?

Just checked it out. Don't bother. It's not a very good movie. :( It really didn't come together and lacked direction. I can't believe anyone rated this movie at 80%. I would have given it more like a 30-50%.

I just came out from the theater seeing The Collection, I enjoyed it a lot!It was well acted from the two main actors (Elena, Arkin) it was very bloody/gory which I loved, and the opening scene was amazing. I personally think The Collection should be higher rated. It wasn't an amazing horror movie, but I enjoyed watching it!

Killing Them Softly is one of the best films of the year, almost as good as Assassination of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford.

Absolutely dreadful -- don't hear serious audience booing often these days. Could have been something with different direction. Can't even get the "Killing me softly" definition enacted correctly .. Unless you are a serious arthouse fan and are expecting something totally offbeat, wait for DVD so you can fall asleep in comfort at home.

With Brad Pitt how could it be bad?
Long, boring and full of itself... Couldnt wait until it was over!
