Anyone who says the Bible is boring ought to read 1 & 2 Samuel and 1 Kings. I've long thought the events of these passages involving David and his Mighty Men would make a fascinating movie. The trick is who is going to come out and see it? And how will Fusco/Cunningham(director) handle Biblical accuracy vs. poetic license? The most obvious movie goers would be Christians and Jews. But their interest will be directly impacted by how much liberty they take with the facts. I think plenty of non-Christians will be interested too, but it will have to be a top quality movie to draw them into something that might otherwise seem to be a religious movie.Based on what I've seen of Fusco and Cunningham's previous work, I have high hopes for their project.
