Although audiences may find themselves similarly frustrated by the film's reduction in scope, it nevertheless effectively focuses on the efforts of Josue Lajeunesse and his vision of building out the foundation laid by his father.

Some documentaries just make you feel good about the world and the people in it, and "La Source" is definitely one of those.

In this gleaming little gem of a documentary, a janitor devotes everything to the cause of bringing fresh water to his Haitian village. It's the rare example of an issue film that lets its subjects sell the story instead of having it thrust upon them.
