George Romero's Ready with Another Zombie Movie
Fresh off the success of his "Land of the Dead," zombie-master George A. Romero has decided to "go indie" on his next "Dead" sequel, which will be called "Diary of the Dead" and goes into production this October.

Box Office Preview: Sandler "Clicks" With New Comedy
Although Father's Day has passed, Hollywood brings out two very different stories about dads and their wacky adventures this weekend with Adam Sandler's comedy Click and Tyrese Gibson's actioner Waist Deep, both opening in theaters on Friday. Comedy has been ruling the box office throughout the month of June and that trend should continue until the Man of Steel arrives next week.

Batman Rules the Box Office Roost
Debuting with very strong (albeit not staggering) box office numbers is the long-anticipated return of the Caped Crusader. Christopher Nolan's "Batman Begins" handily hooked the #1 spot at the box office this weekend, hauling in just under $47 million over the three-day frame. Toss in the Wednesday and Thursday numbers and the new-fangled bat-flick stands with a fairly impressive five-day tally of $71.1 million.

Stanford, Levine & Several Others Head for the "Hills"
The Hollywood Reporter brings us the full cast list for the upcoming remake of Wes Craven's "The Hills Have Eyes." Filming begins rather soon, and director Alexandre Aja ("High Tension") finally has his cast all picked out: Aaron Stanford ("X-Men 2"), Vinessa Shaw ("40 Days and 40 Nights"), Ted Levine ("Silence of the Lambs"), and Kathleen Quinlan ("Apollo 13") are among the family members who'll be terrorized by nefarious mountain folk.

A Second "Day" With the Always-Hungry "Dead"
It happened at "Night," and it happened again during "Dawn," so is anyone out there actually surprised that George Romero's "Day of the Dead" is about to go through the remake machine? According to Variety, it's going to happen sooner than later. Millennium Films, along with Taurus Entertainment, will be bringing an all-new "Day of the Dead" to the big screen.

Get Ready to Visit the "Land of the Dead"
Bloody-Disgusting.com, a fine horror source if ever there was one, shares some news from Universal Pictures, and it's news that the Zombie Freaks will undoubtedly applaud. George Romero's "Land of the Dead," which was previously scheduled for an Oct. 21st release, will now hit movie screens (with a wet, squishy thud) on June 24th.
