Lawless Heart is a sharp, modern love story where lust, loyalty and courage are stretched to the limit. Shocked by the death of a friend, three men decide to take their lives in hand. But under the influence of three beguiling women, how far will they go? Seen from three angles, each view of events reveals the comic and subtle realities of modern relationships. Lawless Heart takes a journey through the comedy of love, with three friends facing life, death, sex and misadventure.
Dan (Bill Nighy) is a faithful, loving husband and father—until he meets Corinne. Gorgeous, glamorous and French, her refreshing honesty and “seize the day” mentality are infectious and Dan starts to wonder if he’s missed out on life’s opportunities. Could Corinne be offering him a chance to “seize his day?”
Nick (Tom Hollander), a gay restaurateur, finds himself befriended by a sparky and effervescent young woman, shortly after losing his boyfriend, Stuart. Warming to her ceaseless attempts to cheer him up, their friendship seems innocent enough, but as they become closer, Nick is shocked by his feelings for her. Is he betraying Stuart and his sexuality?
Tim (Douglas Henshall) is carefree and charismatic. After an absence of eight years abroad, he arrives home still searching for that elusive ‘something’ in his life, only to find she lives in his own backyard. But as Tim faces up to his future for the first time, the one thing standing in his way is her past. -- © 2002 First Look Pictures
