3 hours of pain

this was the worst!
I love musicals, but this was just PAINFUL to watch
1. I hate movies where everyone is dirty.....ewwwwwwe!
2. who had the idea of singing the talking parts....that was a REALLY bad idea
3. did they think about editing some of this stuff?

Somehow I don't think anyone forced you to sit through this. If you don't like it, there's this new thing: it's called LEAVING.

Exactly, I took it out of the dvd player and said "Wow that was miserable. I'm glad I stopped watching it."

You actually went to a movie called 'the miserables', which is set in an urban environment in the nineteenth century, and expected everyone to be as clean as Aphrodite?

You cannot be serious (in fact, I think you aren't).

I agree, Rina. Can't say it was bad though, there are some awesome moments in this movie but... yeah.

WoW! I loved the movie. Fantastic emotion and acting from Hugh Jackman. Loved Anne Hathaway as well. Very disappointed with Russell Crowes bland acting. Overall I enjoyed a powerful, emotional and wonderful movie experience. Loved it!!

Yes but this movie has parts that are directed like a normal movie (i.e. not like a musical), in which the actors act like in a normal movie, like they are normally talking with each other, except that they don't speak their lines but instead simply sing them.
It felt really weird. I tried to get into it, but it just didn't work for me.

The parts that were properly choreographed and accompanied with music like a musical were okay, but a little too exaggerated.

Lets clean everyone up and forget any attempt at realism. Priceless. ??
