Produced independently by Edward Small, this surprisingly realistic gangster yarn stars stalwart Richard Arlen as Mal Stevens, an attorney recruited by the newly organized Federal Bureau of Investigation. 6.5/10. Fine classic gangster film, great cast, especially Alice Brady. It moves along at a brisk pace. Well written with a good plot. Well developed characters. Solid production.
