Estranged and detached, both travel aimlessly like urban nomads in today's oblivious world until the day they meet. Maria, a single mother, closed, wary, yet determined to struggle for survival, fighting a losing battle to save both her shop and custody of her little girl. And the gentle Antonio, still living in a world of teenage sci-fi who, though never resigned, is now full of hope and even self-sacrifice for this hauntingly beautiful young woman.
