Critic Review - Film.com

The couple's story is related through small, true-to-life details that paint an unidealized portrait of love - the euphoria, the sadness, and everything in between.

Did they stay together in the end???

I don't think they did.

I think they were separated too long, allowing them to gradually grow apart from each other while holding onto the fantasy of what once was, and what could be. And in the final scene in the shower, to me, it seemed like they both realized the magic was gone, which created the awkwardness. The collage of the clips showing them happy together in the past was contrasted with the reality of the present. Sometimes we will stop at nothing to acquire what we think we want, and what we think we need, only to feel empty once we get it.

This could be perfectly true while the unchanged quiddity of the love is artistically pictured in this movie.

This could be perfectly true while the unchanged quiddity of love between the two lovers is clearly pictured.
