Too many nominations for Skyfall. Thomas Newman? Seriously? He was only nominted because of Adele's theme song.

Exactly.I didn't think it was great at all.Definitely doesn't deserve to be on any of the lists.

Skyfall is an excellent example of how to promote a franchise. It was EVERYWHERE. From beer commercials, to the Olympics, to 60 Mins. you couldn't turn around without running into Bond. Add to that the fact that, although not a great film, it was a serviceable action/thriller/drama Bond film. Critics and audiences were so happy that the movie that had been bombarding their senses for months wasn't total shit.

Uh, Thomas Newman has been nominated 10 times, although I will admit this wasn't one of his best scores. He should have won for SHAWSHANK or WALL*E. He's my favorite living composer. Still, SKYFALL deserves cinematography at the very, very least; Roger Deakins is another SHAWSHANK veteran who's been ignored for far too long. I was actually upset he didn't get the Oscar for TRUE GRIT.

Skyfall rocked

Do films that "rock" deserve Awards?

Skyfall is actually deserving of all of its nominations. (Certainly more so than Les Mis.)

I do think Skyfall is surprisingly getting a lot of buzz but deservedly so maybe it doesn't deserve as high as 94 but I don't know anybody who would give it a negative rating so it made sense
