I think the academy had a very hard time chosing between Leo , Samuel and Chistopher. I would nominate Leo just because.

The three were fantastic, but I enjoyed Cristoph the must. Leo did a excellent job too, with bloody hand and all.

She has already received Oscar time, you better ask why not Affleck in this list

Daniel Day Lewis will get best actor for sure, I mean come on he became Abe Lincoln. I also hope that Jennifer Lawrence gets best supporting actress for Silver Linings Playbook. The rest I have mixed feelings about.

I agree that Affleck should at least be nominated, but what people should be asking instead of complaining who got snubbed, is who to kick off. Maybe Benh Zeitlin, because the movie was great but I would argue it was more the writing than the directing. People say David O. Russel, but I think he is great churning out great, well directed movies, even if Silver Linings is less of a drama, should that hurt it? I don't think so, I don't know why people make angry statements about who is a good director or not when they are basing it on how much they liked the movie.

your opinion is one of the few adequate here, people are angry because what they like is not included in the lists, but not always what you hochesh.ya believe that this year some of the best short list for the last time, with 2-3 reservations

The problem with Dicap is that he is too good for his own good. The studios were so taken by his status as a "hearthrob" they never strayed away from using that as a marketing technique...and why should they. The only way Dicap will be taken seriously as an Oscar contender is to stray away from these big budget roles and move out of his comfort zone. No matter what role he chooses we still know it's Leo on the screen. Gain weight, loose weight, maybe a prosthetic nose... become an unattractive character completely unrecognizable and unexpected. Think Theron in 'Monster' or Hanks in 'Philadelphia'. Dicap will need to make us forget we are watching Leonardo Dicaprio on the screen and then he will have a shot. 'Gilbert Grape' and 'Basketball Diaries' are the only two films he has successfully tackled the obstacle of being too good for your own good.

More snubs than usual this year. Looper deserved nods for film editing and makeup. Robert Yeoman should've gotten recognized for his cinematography on Moonrise Kingdom. Michael Fassbender absolutely should've gotten a nod for Shame. Dark Knight Rises could've at least been included in the costume design category. And where's the love for Seven Psychopaths? That script was gold.

Just to name a few...

This is my opinion, but to me, Leo is trying to get roles not for the performance but just to get a nomination and a win. Sure hes a good actor, but hes only wanting roles so he can get a nominations for the Oscar. To me I believe the academy only nonminates those who give the best performance and not those who just to get a role from a great director or movie and get a nomination like that. Like in 2010, "Inspection" who directed it? Christopher Nolan. "J.Edger" who directed it? Clint Eastwood, and "Django Unchained". Who directed it? Quentin Tarantino. See he only wanting roles that makes him believe he'll get nonminates for an Oscar. I did like it when he was nonminates for "What Eating Gilbert Grape" "The Avitior" and "Blood Diamond" , but just dosent want the nomination and inly cares about a win. this is my opinion, If you disagree I don't care say what u got to say. If you do and I believe that wont happen then thank you and good day.

(P.S I'm glad he not nominated for the film.)
