Screen Actors Guild Awards Winners

Summary

The SAG Awards ceremony -- the only televised awards ceremony in the industry that focuses only on performers -- was held at the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center on Sunday, January 27th. No one movie or TV show ruled the day, though NBC's 30 Rock took home both Comedy Acting awards and Steven Spielberg's Lincoln earned honors for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor. I think I like the SAGs and the WGAs better than the Oscars. Too many voters in the Academy Awards...too much money through around to convenience people that crappy movies (Silver Linings Playbook) are Oscar worthy.

I loved Jessica in Zero Dark Thirty, I thought Jennifer was way beyond her years in Silver Linings Playbook, But Naomi Watts performance was so raw, so emotional, I believe she is being greatly overlooked by all these great performances. I hope Naomi gets the Oscar she deserves.

The blatant snub of Joaquin Phoenix is so ridiculous.....I don't care if DDL beats him every time.....but to be excluded entirely is just bad form and foul play. Also take out Javier and Alan Arkin.....and give Waltz and LDC their rightful spots. Jeeze. For an award ceremony based on just acting and performances......they were off the mark.

Curios inclusions: Bardem and Arkin

Does anyone feel that Mark Ruffalo should have got some love fro the Avengers?Being the Hulk is a great task,and he really nailed it.His performance is more memorable than either Arkin or Bardem.
