A young man's interest in film history leads to a revelation about his own past in this drama. Sam (Benoit Magimel) is a student and film fan who is fascinated by Sylvain Marceau (Sagamore Stevenin), an actor who had a brief career in the 1930s but seems to have vanished while working on "Princess Marushka," a historical epic that was never completed. This movie is from 1989, not 2001, and it's not French. A young teen gets involved with an older guy over the phone, unaware he's a serial killer. It's good, I recommend it.

This movie will teach your preteen a lesson. Side note: it says you can watch this on flixster, but that's an older movie of the same name, not this movie!
