Long Pigs (2007)

Two documentary filmmakers chronicle the daily life of a serial killer in the pseudodocumentary chiller Long Pigs. You wouldn't know it by looking at him, but Anthony McAlistar (Anthony Alviano) is a multiple murderer that likes to feast on his victims' human remains. Fortunately for him, he's able to tell his story when a couple of documentarians decide to exploit the murderer for their own fascinating film project, but are they prepared for the bloody reality set to unfold before their cameras? Long Pigs screened at the Cinequest Film Festival and is the collaborative brainchild of filmmakers Chris Power and Nathan Hynes. ~ Jeremy Wheeler, Rovi … More

Critic Reviews for Long Pigs
A rather compelling and gruesome statement on the ultimate taboos and rationalization of our everyday crimes...
Audience Reviews for Long Pigs
Great Hoser Horror obviously inspired by Man Bites Dog. Two inexperienced filmmakers follow a likable cannibalistic serial killer. Gory as hell and quite disturbing, but lots of black humour to fall back on. Kind of reminded me of Series 7 in terms of the general atmosphere. Watch on a double bill with the other Canadian cannibal flick Scarce. Good film.
