  • LOTR 1: Set in mythic Middle Earth, a young hobbit named Frodo Baggins inherits a magic ring from his elderly cousin Bilbo. The dark Lord Sauron lusts for the powers that the magic ring holds, knowing it will enable him to enslave the people of land. In his effort to thwart Sauron, Frodo recruits the fellowship of a wizard, an elf, a dwarf and others on a mission to destroy the ring by casting it into the volcanic fires in the Crack of Doom. However, the ring unleashes its own power as a result of the struggle....
  • LOTR 2: The Fellowship has broken, but the quest to destroy the One Ring continues. Frodo and Sam must entrust their lives to Gollum if they are to find their way to Mordor. As Saruman's army approaches, the surviving members of The Fellowship, along with people and creatures from Middle-earth, prepare for battle. The War of the Ring has begun.
  • LOTR 3: Frodo (Elijah Wood) is imprisoned in a tower guarded by orcs, and no one but Sam (Sean Astin) can free him so that they can complete their quest to destroy the ring. Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen), Legolas (Orlando Bloom) and Gimli (John Rhys-Davies) have gone off to find Aragorn's fleet, leaving Merry (Dominic Monaghan) to fight alongside King Theoden's (Bernard Hill) army. Miles away, Gondor, the last protected city against the dark forces, is being attacked by armies of orcs, trolls and Ringwraiths. Gandalf must use all his power and knowledge to keep the armies at bay until King Theoden and Aragorn arrive
