The Weekly Ketchup: "Spider-Man 3's" Venomous Action Figure, "Alien Vs. Predator 2's" Preview Pic, Kevin Smith's Horror Trip, And More!
by Nick Hershey | January 19, 2007
Discuss Article
In this week's Ketchup, the requisite "Spider-Man 3" tidbit came in the form of an action figure, and "Alien Vs. Predator 2" joined the fray with a preview photo of its own.

Also, the possible "Lost Boys" sequel may have an unusual thematic angle, Kevin Smith discussed his horror film project, and plot details for "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer" were unleashed. Read on.

This Week's Most Popular News:

"Spider-Man 3"'s Venom Makes His First Appearance!

Up until now the appearance of the infamous Venom has been one of the biggest "Spider-Man 3" secrets, but thanks to the toymakers of the world, we now have a whole bunch of images of the villainous symbiote ... and an action figure!

First Shot of the Reunion Between "Alien" and "Predator"

At first it sounded like a true fanboy dream: "Alien" beasties and "Predator" monsters in the same movie! And then it came out -- and even those who "kinda" liked "Alien vs. Predator" would be quick to admit that the movie really shoulda been, well, better. But with each new sequel comes fresh hope, or if not fresh hope then new pics, like the one we now have for "Alien vs. Predator 2."

Surfing Vampires in "Lost Boys 2"?

There's been talk of a "Lost Boys" sequel almost as long as there's been a "Lost Boys." But the thing never managed to get made, for one boring reason or another. But now, thanks to the magic of straight-to-video sequelizing, it sure looks like we're gonna get one now. Probably a silly one, too.

Kevin Smith Explains His "Scary" Decision

Kevin Smith surprised many of his fans when he announced that his next project as a writer-director would be a horror film. Known for his comic book and sci-fi interests, this genre seems to come out of nowhere. Smith told Rotten Tomatoes that it's always been in the back of his mind.

Some Juicy Plot Details on "Fantastic Four" Sequel

"Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer" screenwriter Don Payne recently spilled a few beans to the guys at Comics2Film.com, and while we're not diving into spoiler territory, there's some stuff here that the fans will probably appreciate.

No word if it will have the "G.I. Joe" kung fu grip.

Hell yea Pena joining the cast of Lions for Lambs is awesome, this movie is shaping up to be damn good. Hank and Mike sounds like it could be entertaining. That's a weird cast for Get Smart.

Would You Believe...
Carell & Hathaway sound ideal for "Get Smart"

Just wonder if Carell will affect A "Don Adams" voice, or play Smart au naturel-
(He did a very good Paul Lynde improv as "Uncle Arthur" in "Bewitched"--The ONLY reason to see that movie)
