First Shots of Corey Feldman in Lost Boys 2 Online
Comics crossover, Lost Boys 3 in the works.

The movie that Corey Haim has been waiting 20 years to see is finally on its way!

We're talking, of course, about Lost Boys 2: The Tribe, Warner Bros.' direct-to-video sequel to the 1987 cult classic that helped make Haim and his frequent co-star, Corey Feldman, household names. Directed by P.J. Pesce, Lost Boys 2 returns Feldman to the role of Edgar Frog, and also stars Autumn Reeser, Gabrielle Rose, and Tom Savini. Official synopsis below:

The sequel to the 1987 cult hit The Lost Boys takes us to the shady surf city of Luna Bay, California, where vampires quickly dispatch anyone who crosses their path. Into this dark world arrive Chris Emerson (Hilgenbrink) and his younger sister, Nicole (Reeser). Having just lost their parents in a car accident, the siblings move in with their eccentric Aunt Jillian and become new prey for the local way of life. When Nicole unwittingly falls for a local vampire, Chris must locate and destroy the gangs lifeline before his sisters transformation is complete; to do this Chris finds himself relying on the expertise of none other than Edgar Frog (Feldman). Subtle references to characters from the original film, and cameos from returning actors offer homage to the Lost Boys legend and set a sinister tone of impending doom.

The sequel isn't set to reach store shelves until July, but Feldman has posted a pair of stills at his official site.

Also of interest to Lost Boys fans is the news, per Feldman's blog, that Warners has commissioned a four-issue DC Comics crossover which will fill in the gaps between the first and second films, and the studio is "already talking about doing a third" installment in the series. Now where's that Goonies sequel?

wow...this is just sad. this is Gary Coleman sellin his undies on ebay...sad. this is Slapshot 2...SAD. this is stopping at a redlight and seeing a guy standing on the median with a sign saying "need change" sad. ok, not THAT sad but...d3mn, straight to video sequel of a decent 80's movie?? why bother. and please god don't do Goonies 2. unless Spielberg is attached...don't do it, please. i heard rumors a coupla years ago and i love that movie way too much to see that have a direct to dvd series. but it'll happen, how the h3ll they made two more Sandlots is beyond me...all these 80's and 90's flix will be remade. hollywood has a serious mooching problem nowadays...and its freakishly contagious...

from what i've seen, Haim isn't in it...

Did anyone notice that the synopsis is just like the first film!? Why is this a sequel instead of a remake?

As much as this is a bad idea, I'm not going to say "this is terrible" until I actually see the movie. I've seen some fairly good DTV fare in the past, and I wont judge until I know.... for all we know this is being made with the exact spirit of the first in mind, and might be a small cult-ish comeback for Feldman.

Oh, who am I kidding. But here's hoping.

My interest will depend on who's directing. No Joel Schumacher = No Sale!

Sorry, I just wanted to be the first one in internet history to EVER type the sentence, "No Joel Schumacher = No Sale!"

This an abomination. It is one thing to do Hollow Man 2 and White Noise 2 but this is ridiculous.

Wow, this is going to be as good as seeing a haunted honeymoon sequel with Dom DeLuise. Now throw in another breakin' sequel and do a combo to make it intersting. It could also star kid n play trying to help poor Dom learn how to break dance! Now that would be something to see! Haunted Honeymoon 2: Electric Boogaloo!!! Oh yeah, also put in Shadoe Stevens, and make another Rambo movie with the Unknown comic playing Rambo's father! YES!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe we'll get lucky and it won't be such a bad movie. Look at White Noise 2. That's a DTV title, though it actually was filmed as if to go to the big screen, and its supposed to be better than the original. But then again it may suck just as much as we expect it to. And what's with no Corey Haim? I know his life was a wreck but I thought he had gotten it back together.
