A science fiction family drama cum comedy, this is one of the most popular shows in television history. A by-product of the nation's obsession with the "space race" as well as the popularity of the family situation comedy, the futuristic show followed the adventures of an extended family, including a robot, sent to open a portal to Alpha Centauri, the only other known habitable star system. They are waylaid, however, by the evil Dr. Smith, who is accidentally taken along for the ride, and the group ends up encountering all sorts of unknown and more or less unfriendly life forms in their attempts to get home again. This set contains seasons two and three of the sci-fi classic. [More]
