Nu Image Announces Rambo IV Supporting Cast
by RT Staff | April 14, 2006
Discuss Article
According to Moviehole, Danny Lerner, executive producer of Rambo IV, has announced that they have inked eight actors for the upcoming film. Similar reports indicate that Lost's Matthew Fox is being wooed for an important role in the semi-anticipated sequel.

Kim Dickens (Deadwood) has been cast as the wife of Rambo, James Brolin (Traffic) has been cast as Colonel Keating, Bruno Campos as an international cult member and terrorist, while Larry Wilcox, Ken Kercheval, Avery Brooks, Randee Heller and Linden Ashby have been signed for small supporting roles in the upcoming film.

Further unsubstantiated (yet juicy) gossip indicates that Walter Hill is also currently in final negotiations to direct the long awaited film.

Walter Hill would be perfect
If Walter Hill directs, there's a really good chance "Rambo IV" will work. John Milius and William Friedkin are the only other directors I could see making a decent movie out of it.

Hill is an excellent, incredibly underrated filmmaker, and if they do hire him, I just hope Stallone and the producers don't meddle too much. If left alone, Hill can make a fourth "Rambo" film way more interesting than it has any right to be.

I don't think Bruce Campbell would be allowed into the armed forces with that birth defect he calls a chin.

Walter Hill probably would do a good job, I also like Avery Brooks being in this.
