What Roeper, Gleiberman, AO Scott, and other mediocre critics miss is the genius in the absurd, Meyers's absurdity. This film is brilliant absurdist humor ala Kentucky Fried Movie, i.e., *Sir* Ben Kingsley's crossed eyes throughout, elephants having sex on ice (as a means of distraction), Meyers and partner performing Extreme's "More than Words" on sitar. This film celebrates the absurd while at the same time satirizes filmic cliche--as just as one example, the *deliberate* rushed through come-from-behind Maple Leafs victory. Since when has genital and scat riffing been off the table? Ya blowhards...
