Ah man, I think this list is pretty spot on but I still think people are giving Kingdom of the Crystal SKull too much crap, not a very good movie but not that bad.

The Razzies are starting to lose credibility with me (lol, I couldn't say that with a straight face.)

Anyway, I can't believe that Disaster Movie/Meet the Spartans got no credit for being so terrible. Also, I agree with jokerboy, people hate on Indy 4 way too much, when there were many more terrible movies, and that one wasn't that bad. Indy 4 and Speed Racer (yes I liked that one too) being nominated was pretty stupid. Also, War Inc and The Wackness shouldn't have been included in his nomination. He did good in both of those. At least Uwe Boll and Paris Hilton got properly recognized, though I still kinda want to see Repo! The Genetic Opera.

The "Razzies" are pretty much a joke anyway- they mostly just hate on whatever it's fun and popular to hate. Was "The Love Guru" terrible? Yes, but it's miles ahead of "Disaster Movie"- but because it's popular to kick Mike Myers while he's down, 'Love Guru" won the most awards. And honestly, if Paris Hilton ever decides to be in a movie with any sort of credibility (and god forbid that she gives a decent performance)- she'll be nominated here for Worst Actress- and win too.

I think I'm just bitter that 88 Minutes didn't take any awards home- (Obligatory "Spinal Tap" Reference") 2 words: **** Sandwich.

The Razzies are no longer relevant like they used to be. By the time they roll around each year all the good punchlines have already been made at the expense of their nominees. This year's crop of winners really was more miss than hit. I understand all the Guru hate, but the new Indy wasn't bad, just lack-luster to some. Worst remake really belongs to Speed Racer which somehow managed to be both blindingly colorful and dull at the same time. Paris Hilton is a terrible actress, but her role in Repo was made for her and she wasn't half bad. Also, any ratings system that would place Ben Kingsley among all these other people must not be taken seriously. His choices might be poor sometimes, but his performances never are.

I don't get the hate on KotCS, sure it wasn't great, but it wasn't THAT bad.

Shocker, Paris Hilton and Uwe Boll getting razzies, BREAKING NEWS!

This is probably more accurate than the Oscars will be. Remember folks that the Razzies aren't about the worst movies as much as they are about the most disappointing movies. The ones that "win" are the ones that turned out worse than expected, thus making them even worse than the ones that weren't meant to be good in the first place (ala Meet the Spartans/Disaster Movie). That's what the thing's been about since the beginning.

I think Kingdom of skull crystal got the razzy because of the expectation. It was a huge dissapointement. Even more if you think about the movie afterward... That story stink.

Agreed, man. The Razzies -lol- are indeed starting to lose, ah, credibility. Crystal Scull wasn't great, but it certainly wasn't this bad. The same goes for a lot of the nominees and winners. I mean, come on, worst of the year? Some of these awards suggest that '08 was a far better year for movies than deserves credit.

Crystal Scull, in my view, is decried so passionately in part because the subject matter veered away from the usual religious iconography. The same thing happened with Temple of Doom, now the second least favorite in the series. But these are odd reasons to hate an Indiana Jones film. Archeology has always been about uncovering the secrets and mysteries of the world while raising new questions and challenging that which is taken for granted as 'Truth'. It is, in fact, the very science that makes the word truth a parenthetical. Jones seeks wonders of a religious past, we love him. Jones explores wonders of pagan ritualism or of an extraterrestial nature and suddenly we hate him or find the story too "far fetched". It's ridiculous.

By now, even calling Paris Hilton an "actress" at all is a slap in the face to anyone in every creative medium.

The Razzies are joke awards that shouldn't be taken seriously. The Oscars are an awards show that wants to be taken seriously become more of a joke every year. As for the worst remake or sequel category, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull isn't as bad as the other movies in that category, All of those movies were outright stinkers. The movie is definitely a disappointment and a let down. It's not great and doesn't match up to people's epxpectations and media hype that preceded it. Not a horrible movie, just not worthy of the Indiana Jones franchise, The Love Guru was a good choice for worst pictute. That movie is truely unfunny and awful.

KotCS wasn't so bad to get a Razzie. It's actually a decent movie whereas most of the other movies on the list range from crap to utter crap. Someone mentioned it got one for being such a let down. If that were the case, plenty of other movies would have Razzies. Off the top of my head, Pineapple Express. That movie was supposed to be the funniest movie of the decade the way they advertised it. It got about half a chuckle from one person out of the whole theater at the showing I went to. I personally didn't even crack a smile. A comedy that gets no laughs from hundreds of random people; not good. A Razzie for letdowns would have to go to Pineapple Express in my book.
