Everything about this film is dull.
| Original Score: 1.5/4
Lacks the appeal of Swingers, which was so much richer in its characters and social observations.
There's no getting past the fact that Made rehashes the style and attitude of Swingers and that it is a seriously misogynistic, homophobic film.
All it did was make me want to watch Swingers again.
| Original Score: C+
A joyless experience with an often irritating, bland, and pointless movie.
| Original Score: 1/4
Bobby and Ricky's squabbling routine is funny stuff. Too bad Favreau's "Made" never gives them a reason for being together.
| Original Score: C
Too many tangents hurts the flow of the film and Vince Vaughn, while sickly funny, gets to be too much to take.
The film should be pleasing to the converted fans of Vaughn and Favreau...
Swingers fans beware.
| Original Score: 2/4
Mr. Favreau demonstrates an admirable need to anger the Swingers faithful ... That ambition doesn't translate into a very good movie.
| Original Score: 3/5
Made, with its undernourished plot and fizzle of a climax, isn't exactly breaking new ground in mob comedy realism.
So miscalculated and chafingly unfunny is this movie it will leave you convinced that if the gangster comedy isn't killed off by actor-driven improv riffs like this, maybe it ought to be. Better dead than more like Made.
If there is a more annoying performance than Vaughn's in a movie this year, it can only mean the real Jerry Lewis has made a comeback.
Decent, but nothing special and pretty much instantly forgettable.
The plot seems to be nothing more than a translucent bridge to the next scene where Vaughn can run his mouth and Favreau can play off him as the longsuffering friend
Doesn't know when to step on the brakes before it turns itself in to a one-note shtick movie.
| Original Score: 4/10
It's like watching "The Odd Couple" starring a tooth and a root canal.
| Original Score: 2/4
Although their mindless banter is cute at first, listening to them becomes as tiresome as being stuck at a cocktail party between battling spouses.
Yikes...talk about a disappointment!
| Original Score: 5/10
The script's mildly diverting excursions into low-level drama and sporadically amusing set pieces aren't enough to justify the price of a ticket.
