Forget the fact that it's cheesy beyond belief and hilariously sleazy, Malibu Express is worth watching for it's dorky, corny, utterly lame ladies' man of a protagonist, Cody Abilene. Just the concept that women throw themselves at this guy or that he has any competency as a private detective, makes this one of the most amusing movies I've seen in quite a while. The other actors are as atrocious as their lines, and the plot is somehow boring, absurd and non-existent all at the same time.
If you love the kind of hysterically bad movies that Mystery Science Theater often mocked, definitely check out this prime piece of 80's schlock.
