Audience Reviews for Malibu Express

"See this body? This body is a lethal weapon. I could kill you guys in a second."

Forget the fact that it's cheesy beyond belief and hilariously sleazy, Malibu Express is worth watching for it's dorky, corny, utterly lame ladies' man of a protagonist, Cody Abilene. Just the concept that women throw themselves at this guy or that he has any competency as a private detective, makes this one of the most amusing movies I've seen in quite a while. The other actors are as atrocious as their lines, and the plot is somehow boring, absurd and non-existent all at the same time.

If you love the kind of hysterically bad movies that Mystery Science Theater often mocked, definitely check out this prime piece of 80's schlock.

Okay folks, for a start, this is a bad movie, but to be honest, that's about 90% of the fun of it, in that it's just so cheesy and cornball, as well as the idea that this kicked off a series of about 12 films from this director, all loosely connected by Playmates, recurring characters and silly gadgets.

Great fun for those who know what they're getting into.
