Critic Review - New Yorker

The legal definition of torture has been much aired in recent years, and I take Mamma Mia! to be a useful contribution to that debate.

Excellent and accurate review. Mamma Mia is #1 contender for this year's Razzie.

Be more open minded.

To enjoy this movie, you have to be willing to let yourself go, to have some fun. And if you're not going to even try, then I guess you won't like it.

Personally, I loved this movie. It had me dancing in the aisles. Literally.

This review really nails it. I just watched part of it before feeling an overwhelming urge to leave the room. The casting director and choreographer in particular ought to be put in a rocket and shot into deep space. What an arrogant, self-indulgent waste. Time now to rinse out my ears.
