New York playboy Bob Custer gets into trouble with the cops when he drunkenly steals a cabdriver's coat. The judge decides to send Custer out West so he can straighten himself out and learn to be a "real man." Our hero adapts to the wide open spaces as if he'd been born there, matriculating into the finest rider, roper, and shooter in the territory.
