Suggests a sort of Judeo-Nubian alliance that would supposedly make uptight WASP's quake with fear. I think.

[it] might better have been called Marci Why.

Most of the laughs come from the questionable taste of Benjamin's subject matter, as opposed to any genuine wit.

Who thought it would be a good idea to turn Lisa Kudrow into a Vanilla Ice for this millennium? The Friends star barrels through two wan rap numbers in the misbegotten Marci X, a much-delayed turkey that has finally come home to roost.

FRIENDS made her rich; MARCI X should kill her career.

In what universe does a New York Jewish socialite and a hardcore, streetwise rapper sound like a good pairing for a romantic comedy?

There's a tawdry, self-congratulatory air about the film that leaves a bad taste.

Marci X is the kind of terrible movie I'm almost glad I've seen, because this decade probably won't bring a worse movie than this.

The spoofs in Marci X are so old and dated, it boggles the imagination to think of what group might still be offended them.

...a tremendously clumsy and disastrous dud for the ages...a staggeringly inept romp that plays like stale fodder in a nostalgic Luther Campbell/2Live Crew home movie.

A mess of would-be satire and condescending humor that never works for a second. Every person involved with this disaster should be ashamed.

Given the songs were written by South Park songwriter Marc Shaiman, the lyrics should be more caustic. Like that show, the film is equally irreverent but nowhere near as intelligent or subversive.

Raunchy musical numbers and demeaning stereotypes overwhelm the film's feeble attempts at social satire about censorship and cultural diversity.

A more blithe display of astonishingly clueless anti-Semitism, racism, homophobia, and sheer bad taste has not been seen since probably ever.

Como algum est˙dio p˘de aprovar este roteiro? Como os atores aceitaram participar do projeto? Como este conseguiu ser lanšado? Como Benjamin pode ser chamado de 'cineasta'?

Bring lowered expectations to Marci X, and you could discover a mildly diverting comedy.
