Really, who cares about another battle? We know how this is going to end.

Are you sure you're not talking about the Ralph Fiennes and Uma Thurman's Avengers? Because honey, I think you've made a mistake.
May 1 - 04:39 PM
duh its going to end a certain way just like you knew the hunger games was going to end with Katnis surviving so ether come up with a more entertaining / or more sound review or get out of here

This is such a cynical and shallow review by some asshole manhattanite elitist...the village voice is the worst bullshit rag in NYC.
May 1 - 04:47 PM
If she just hates comic book movies, she should stop reviewing them.
Or be fired.
I'm fine with either.
May 1 - 04:56 PM
As in most movies, we know how it's going to end, what matters is how it happens.
How are you still a top critic? Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but that doesn't mean that they are correct.
May 1 - 04:57 PM
There goes the 100% for top critics. I hope you're happy, Karina. What is it with female critics ruining 100% ratings with this film?
She hated Captain America and X-Men: First Class...
May 1 - 05:10 PM
bet she did an standing ovation when bambis mommy died, coz none knew it would end like dis.
May 1 - 05:15 PM
did you get all the attention you were looking for by giving this a bad review?
May 1 - 05:38 PM
Like someone has said, what the hell is with everyone pointing out her sex to bash her for.
May 1 - 05:47 PM
If you thought sexism was dead, which I can sympathize with as it is the year 2012, then I regret to inform you it is alive and well and still getting passed along to the next generation.
May 1 - 08:00 PM
Ha, I didn't think sexism was dead, I just....I don't know. -rubs temples- Whoop, too much faith in humanity again! My bad.
Actually, my favourite bit of all this; all these sexist fuckwits commenting on a movie written and directed by a feminist, and whose female characters are extremely awesome for a comic book film.
May 3 - 12:35 AM
Are u stupid?
May 1 - 06:10 PM
if you don't enjoy movies, you shouldn't be a critic. it's okay to not love this movie, but to give it a rotten?
May 1 - 06:16 PM
Hey, You know she's right! I DO know how this is going to end. Oh man and to think I almost went and saw the movie, Phew Now I can get my $17 back for my Imax/3D/Reserved seating ticket. I can probably return my Captain America hoodie to Hot Topic. I've been waiting for like 5 years for this movie. Thank You Karina for pointing out the fact that no one needs to see this movie...despite the fact that it has never been done before. Now what should I do on Thursday...
Did I lay on the Sarcasm thick enough?

Lack of focus on characters? Isn't that part of why they made 5 movies before this one?
Like Jaime M just said... the purpose of this film is just pure entertainment. I think the 'critical consensus' sums it all very well.
May 1 - 06:22 PM
It's not pure entertainment. Though it is entertainment, let's be honest, it's repetitive entertainment with which there is always diminishing returns.

O 'deeper meaning' yeah?!? But you're not reviewing "babel" miss, you're reviewing a COMIC BOOK MOVIE, read COMIC BOOK MOVIE..., again COMIC BOOK MOVIE! And in a COMIC BOOK MOVIE you expect FUN, WITS and lots of BOOM, BOOM, POW and this particular COMIC BOOK MOVIE gives MORE than what we expect for. WE ARE ENTERTAINED!... I would rather watch the AVENGERS 99th times and pay 99th times than watch 'BABEL' for even a minute... You get that? You go to movies and pay to get entertained and have fun in the first place, RIGHT PEOPLE?!? RIGHT...
May 1 - 06:27 PM
YUP...Sounds about right to me
May 1 - 07:25 PM
You give it a rotten because you know how it ends, worst critic ever.
