The photography is gorgeous, though, and with Singh's precise, discreet direction, Maya has a devastating impact.

Audience Reviews for Maya

I only finished watching this movie to see how it would end. The point of this movie is lost somewhere in the rambling story lines of children running wild, a drunk servant, and lizards on the loose. In the end I am baffled by what the message is supposed to be.

Heather Metzger

Sick bastards, using religion and a child's first period to rob her of her virginity. Pediphiles in form of priests.

This movies is about a ritual that is illegal on India but it's still done in some parts of the country...a ritual that no girl should go through..really sad.
