One bleak Jersey shore day, Fanny's sister Veronica shows up at Fanny's front door. For five years, ever since Fanny discovered her husband and Veronica were having an affair, the sisters have been estranged. Veronica, a hard vixen in a spandex mini-dress, explains that she is on her way to Riker's Island for welfare check fraud. The meek, dejected Fanny takes her in, and the pair have a wild night on the town. In their brief time together, the sisters bond. While Veronica is imprisoned, Fanny cares for her sister's discarded children and becomes the artist she has always wanted to be. But Veronica sinks deeper and deeper into drug addiction even as Fanny rejuvenates her own life. [More]
