Trailer Bulletin: 300 Gets Spoofed in Meet the Spartans
Leonidas kicks it old school.

Discuss Article
From the slaphappy minds behind Scary Movie, Date Movie, and Epic Movie, comes another spoof comedy. This time, the laugh's on Spartan soldiers as the likes of Kevin Sorbo and Carmen Electra skewer Zack Snyder's 300.

If that sounds good to you, you're in luck; we've got the trailer premiere of the Meet the Spartans trailer right here! The 20th Century Fox release is written and directed by Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer, the filmmaking duo that brought audiences to the box office and critics to their knees with their sendups of films like the James Bond franchise, Scream, The Sixth Sense, Hitch, Meet the Parents, Pirates of the Caribbean, Superman Returns, and more.

Meet the Spartans mixes 300 with films like Stomp the Yard and also features its share of celebrity bashing scenarios, targeting media figures like George W. Bush, Lindsay Lohan, American Idol's Sanjaya and Ryan Seacrest, and Star magazine-crossed lovers K-Fed and Britney Spears.

The build up wasn't even worth the joke! And WTF is up with the Britney Spears thing? This is lamer than the 'Epic Movie' trailer!

There was a time in which people claimed Date Movie was the worst movie ever. Those days are over...

A parody of 300 filled with celebrity-bashing? Didn't they already do that in "Mad" magazine? Come to think of it, it seems like Scary Movie/Epic Movie/Date Movie/etc are all just piles of "Mad" jokes. I'm not saying Mad magazine is better than any of those movies, Mad sucks. Which is why those movies are all so terrible.

well, at least kevin sorbo is finding work...... but since he already got his paycheck, DO NOT GO SEE THIS MOVIE, PLEASE!!!!! even if you're looking to make fun of a movie and expect a horrible movie, there are so many BAD movies that are trying to be good that you can see. and trust me, they're A LOT better.

What's a spoof film without Carmen Electra? Obviously nothing since she's in every single one!

Why do I get the feeling that this movie will involving kicking a bunch of random celebrities into that endless well? And do these guys REALLY think that having random characters break into dance is still funny after Epic Movie?

At least seeing Hercules as a Spartan was interesting for about 3 seconds.

The original was already funnier than any spoof will be.

Can we safely say this will be the worst movie ever and forget about it? Please?

That trailer makes me wanna stab myself in the eye so i cant see anything else to do with this movie .

It is sad that there are enough 12-14 year old boys out there that paid money and went to see Epic Movie , Date Movie and any other of these pieces of trash to warrent yet another candidate for worst movie ever made ...
