Jessica Lange?s strong and convincing performance really lifts this drama above average. The story is believable and doesn?t sensationalize the subject matter. Well written, great cast, everyone gives a good performance. Sensitive direction by Paul Brickman. The characters develop very nicely.

My father died when I was 13.
I identified with this movie on a gut level but it was kind of sad. I enjoyed seeing the Baltimore scenery.
