Star Trek Into Darkness
A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III
Gareth J. Von Kallenbach
When even the most charismatic actor on the planet can't fake excitement, you know you're in trouble.
Calling Will Smith the most charismatic actor on the planet absolutely invalidates the entirety of this review.

I dunno, even though I'm not a fan of all of his movies, I think the guy's clout at the box-office makes a case for him being considered extremely charismatic. A lot of people went to see a movie that mostly starred him and a dog, for gosh sakes.

That movie about Will Smith and the dog was a great movie. Will Smith is one of the better actors around today.

Stop it it I think it is pretty much common knowledge that most of the planet is a bunch of retards who will line up and watch anything with explosions. That being Said at one point will Smith was a good actor now he just regurgitates the same roles over and over again.

no it doesn't, she is absolutely correct
May 23 - 06:10 AM
I agree with you. It doesn't invalidate it. Marston S. is yet another of those online posters who doesn't have a grasp on logic.
May 24 - 07:33 PM
yes it does.she is wrong.
May 23 - 09:25 AM
You might want to sign up for some courses in logic. You're committing a logical fallacy that millions of online posters make.

He wouldn't be where he is now if he didn't have charisma, but the most on the planet? That might be pushing it...
May 23 - 04:47 PM
Don't take what she said so literally. She's being hyperbolic.

May 23 - 05:38 PM
I think you guys are taking her comment to seriously.
May 23 - 05:59 PM
I guess they're not familiar with hyperbole.
I'll wait for Ebert... If he gives it at least a 3 then everything she said is meaningless.
May 23 - 07:25 PM
Oh, look who just gave it a 3/4 EBERT. Your review has officially been invalidated.
May 24 - 03:52 PM
Official, according to whom? You? I didn't know you spoke for Ebert.
May 24 - 07:41 PM
once again you are beautiful Christy, but your opinions are crap ....envy will get you no where...thats why its a sin.
May 24 - 12:06 PM
sigh, you have no idea what you're talking about. This movie, while it's not better than the first, is still a great movie. If you enjoyed the first one, which I'm assuming you didn't Christy, you will enjoy this one as well. MiB2 fell flat because the studio forced it out the door to make a quick buck. MiB3 didn't need to happen. This was a labor of love on all their parts. Will Smith isn't faking, you're just a terrible critic.

Yet another Christy Lemire review that I disagree with. Oh, well. MIB 3 is terrific entertainment for any time of the year, not just the brain-dead summer movie season. It's a third film that gives three-quels a good name again. And, God, we've seen our share of bad ones: Spider-Man 3, Shrek the Third, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, just to name a few. It's refreshing to see something so good result from a franchise long thought dead.
