If your review is based on this, I've made the assumption you watched the film through biased eyes. Do you know what that makes you as a critic? Untrustworthy.
And if this is what the right wing hack job of a critic reads like, you're so passé and off the mark. Hackneyed, old, and out of step, like the politics you adhere to.
I found this review thoughtful and intelligent. Why do liberals get so upset when you point out the obvious? George Clooney tries to shove his liberal ideas down everyone's throats, and that's ok. He has the platform to do it, and I can either choose to see his movies or choose not to see them. But give this reviewer a break. He was expressing his ideas from his viewpoint and he's allowed to do that. He had some very valid thoughts on this movie.
I haven't seen the film, and have no interest in seeing it, based on the trailers and the reviews I've read.
This review appears thorough and unbiased save for its labeling of Clooney as a liberal, and the final statement. A cursory obeservation of Clooney's public statements and political affiliations back up his labeling as a liberal. The critic's judgement that the movie contains a liberal slant, albeit an attempt at humor, may be useful in helping someone to decide whether or not they wish to see the movie. What is all the furor over? It seems not many people liked this movie, for whatever reasons, and this critic likely helped some people avoid wasting their money.
