I can all ready see it. A giant Metal Gear wreaking up all the places and only one man (Channing Tatum) with Jason Bourne genome powers can stand up against it. Bleh

In my opinion, Kurt Wimmer Shouldn't direct a Metal Gear Solid movie. He hasn't directed many good movies, and he would have to know Metal Gear Solid to do it. So far, Paul W. S. Anderson is the only guy I know of who could make a video game movie sell. There ARE five freakin' Resident Evil movies, and Anderson did all of them! And the number is still growing. But I don't think he should direct an ACTION movie like Metal Gear Solid.
I think a Metal Gear movie should be directed by Christopher Nolan. He directed the most recent Batman trilogy, and he hasn't done any bad action movies yet, so I think he would be a good choice. But of course, you have to follow the style of a Metal Gear video game to make a good Metal Gear movie.

That would be amazing if Nolan directed a Metal Gear Solid film.

I would pick a great director that you wouldn't expect to direct a Metal Gear Solid film. To me the easy choice is either Nolan or Guillermo del Toro. But why not try David Fincher or Danny Boyle. I think Fincher's atmospheric direction would be great, but I think Boyle's frenetic style would serve the film well too.
