And the point to this post is... you hate Metallica, it's a shitty movie, or you just like to crunch numbers? It makes posts a lot safer to scrutiny by just posting facts and numbers. Yes, it might be a box office bomb as of now but it doesn't mean it isn't a good movie or at the very least watchable. But, then again, I haven't seen it yet, so I don't know.

Why are you calling me a hater because I am stating the facts? I don't hate Metallica, just mentioning that the movie bombed huge at the box office. In Fact, it just dropped an epic 57% off it's opening weekend (this is really really bad), I am just stating that this bombed far worse than most movies and has really surprised the experts.

The movie is tanking internationally, Gravity will steal all IMAX screens for the next 3 weeks then "Enders Game" will dominate the rest. Picturehouse made a fatal error in releasing this movie on top of Gravity. It opened to a dismal $8,500 in Singapore, this is a bomb.

Your not even looking at it internationally though. Avatar got its most of its repeated IMAX screenings across the world making it the highest grossing movie of all time. In fact almost all 3d IMAX movies have done better in Hong Kong and the far east. Don't go waving the flop flag yet.

It will probably recoup on the sales of DVD's.
But if it does not, and it very well may not, credit to them for at least trying. Especially when they are trying to do so in the day and age that the music industry is dominated by fabricated artists who must lip sync and need to resort to auto-tune just to make their so called music listenable.
But hey, who am I to rain on your parade. Obviously pointing out other peoples failures is something you like doing.
So by all means carry on and continue pointing out what an utter failure the movie is. No reasonable person can argue otherwise. Based on the numbers, it is indeed a failure. Thank you for taking the time out to remind everyone of this fact.
With the above said, I truly do look forward to seeing just how your next concert movie involving a band who has had never had the support of mainstream radio with the exception of a few singles winds up selling on it's opening weekend. Make sure it is also an iMax movie as well, you know, just to keep things interesting. I am confident your movie is going to be a smashing success.
