Not Even Technically 'Music'

The definition of music, as described by Wikipedia:

"Common sayings such as 'the harmony of the spheres' and 'it is music to my ears' point to the notion that music is often ordered and pleasant to listen to. However, 20th-century composer John Cage thought that any sound can be music, saying, for example, 'There is no noise, only sound.'"

Because this is neither pleasant to listen to nor ordered, it is not music.

You just quoted JOHN CAGE to back up your argument that metallica isn't melodic enough to be called music. John Cage, who wrote 4'33", a piece which consists of a performer standing on stage silently for 4 minutes and 33 minutes.
And your article says "...point to the notion that music is OFTEN ordered and pleasant..." not that it MUST BE...It's kind of like saying that this article: http://www.theguardian.com/music/musicblog/2007/mar/21/whymetalfansarebrainier says that metal fans might be smarter than fans of other music. And then I turn around and say "Oh, that means 'Diego' must be mentally lacking!" See, that would not be a sound argument, because the Guardian article says Metal fans "might be" smarter....

However, I do believe the hypothesis to be correct, that 'Diego' is an idiot. The proof is in your ridiculous comment which contradicts everything you are trying to say.

That's only your opinion and not a fact. Metallica's music is ordered and is music to the fans' ears. Besides, music is an art form just like painting and sculpture and it's not all meant to be pleasant. Just because something created artistically is not pleasant it doesn't make it any less a successful art piece, whether it be a painting, a sculpture or a song.
