cahbauer writes: on Feb 18 2008 05:57 PM Why American Gangster failed to earn nods for best actor (Denzel Washington), best picture, and best director (Ridley Scott) I will never know. Michael Clayton was good, but not good enough to earn all those nods, in my opinion. (Reply to this) |

Ecs5001 writes: on Feb 18 2008 06:00 PM American gangster deserves one award. 07's most overrated movie. (Reply to this) |

man in the water writes: on Feb 19 2008 02:44 AM Finally! Lust, Caution on DVD!! My favorite film of '07, and the most underrated. Stupid critics ruined its chances of getting all the Oscars it deserved. NOT EVEN ONE (Reply to this) |

TDeWolfe writes: on Feb 19 2008 05:08 AM I thought Russell Crowe is more deserving of a Best Actor nod for Gangster then Denzel. Crowe's performance was more deep and complex which makes Washington's seem underdeveloped in comparission. I wish the film spent more time on Frank's dealing with his family and cops instead of focusing on how he shipped the drugs from Asia. (Reply to this) |

Synyster_Gates writes: on Feb 19 2008 06:37 AM Michael Clayton comes out tomorrow. I am excited, out of this whole list, that was my favorite movie, next to Redacted. (Reply to this) |

Synyster_Gates writes: on Feb 19 2008 06:38 AM In reply to this comment (#1584774) The Black Dahlia wasn't crap, it was alright. But not crap. I am however looking forward to at least renting to watch Redaction again. (Reply to this) |

jokerboy1991 writes: on Feb 19 2008 08:53 AM In reply to this comment (#1586323) NOOOO, THE BLACK DHALIA was definately crap. It was a crappy cheap knock off of THE UNTOUCABLES. (Reply to this) |

arendr writes: on Feb 19 2008 12:06 PM I'm here to settle this: 1) The direction was not bland in American Gangster. 2) American Gangster was not at all overrated. It was great, maybe not the year's best, but maybe top 10. 3) Black Dahlia is one of the biggest cinematic travesties my eyes and ears have been subjected to. It was like the scene in A Clockwork Orange where they strap him down and clamp his eyelids open. I would have walked out if I'd known my friends hated it as much as I did, but we didn't find that out until we left the theater. (Reply to this) |
