Critic Review - New York Times

Misery is a blunt instrument that fractures the kneecaps more often than it tickles the funnybone.

Wrong. "Misery" is not about captivity and ascape, it's about obsession and the misery it brings...

well said
what a weak ending!!
A thriller is a waste of time when you wrap it up in a over the top and inconsistent way.
Annie just stepped over the sheriff after she shot him. Did he disappear into thin air.
Nobody came to look for him.
The heavy typewriter did not crack Annie's Skull open?? Not funny??
The daughter never shows up even in the vicinity?
The sheriff tells no one?
Very disappointing; as if someone else directed the last 20 minutes.

Die already old man; if you went to see this with ANY intentions of having your 'funnybone tickled' then you're even dumber than you look.
