Movie Info

It is very likely that hard-core Creationists will not be politely inclined towards The Missing Link. This unique, thoroughly credible "historical drama" stars David Hughes (husband of director Carol Hughes) as an ancient man-ape, living in what would later be called Africa. After his people are killed off by the more highly evolved humans, Hughes sets out on a grueling trek across the African plain. En route, he encounters numerous examples of species that have long since become extinct (is there a subliminal pro-eco message lurking about here?) Star Hughes' "missing link" makeup is convincingly rendered by Oscar-winner Rick Baker.more

Audience Reviews for Missing Link

One of the most unique movies I have ever seen. Not sure really how to describe it. Part documentary, part drama. Though I do not subscribe to the overall idea of what this movie represents, I did find it engaging enough and memorable enough that it will never leave my memory.

7.5/10. Excellent film, part documentary, part drama. No dialogue, so all communication to the audience had to be visual and it worked very well. Peter Elliott does an amazing job as the "missing link", his facial expressions and movements were very perceptive and easy for the audience to understand. I did like Quest for Fire better, but this is a fine film as well.
