No plenty of people know that word. I read it in a book called wordsmart for my GREs and my Chem.GRE...BUT only a jackass trying to sound smart uses that word while describing the plot of any Mission Impossible movie lmao
The plot was still stereotypical bullshit. Start a war by turning USA and Russia against each other. Yeah we've seen that shit before, and much better executed
It was a good movie,.but it could have been edited to be AT LEAST 20 minutes less,.THERE WERE SOME SLOW PARTS!..And the premise was terrible,.More LAUNCH CODES?,.Come on?,.Launch codes? really? MacGruber had Launch codes,.but it was a full fledged comedy/spoof,.I give it a 68%,..some really cool stunts,.But way too many obvious ,..BMW was in it more than Tom Cruise,.goodness
Well, I have an MBA and I was completely confused by the plot and cast of characters. Just about everything in the movie was totally implausible, and well...impossible.
A toddler would not be able to follow the plot of the first Mission Impossible at all, or this one. I understood it, but I did have to work some things out in my head, which is good imo.
A great or even a very good movie doesn't need to have an excellent plot. Titanic's plot (just to name a great movie with a plot a toddler would understand, but probably shouldn't watch) wasn't anything great. At all. But what made the movie beautiful was the hard work and how the actors and actresses contributed. Now the acting in MI:GP is not on par with Titanic by any means, but it is a great movie in its own unique way.
The first Mission Impossible was actually quite difficult for most people to follow... M:I 2 was the only film in the series with a simplistic plot in my opinion.
I have to echo the sentiments of others about the simplistic plot lines - the first MI was extremely convoluted. I think what made this release more enjoyable were the many bits of humor sprinkled throughout - A nice counterpoint to the over-the-top action. Simon Pegg is hilarious.
I did see the movie and I agree that the movie is overrated, the tomato-meter is exaggerated, and the part that stands out best in Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol was the action sequences. One of the weakest plots for an anticipated movie in 2011.
I expected a lot of J.J. Abrams work in this film, but he didn't mesh well with Brad Bird in the execution of the takes, You can tell from how both of these impressive cast members create the performance they want to see in their former films.
J.R. Jones is right. The plot line couldn't be anymore stereo-typical without throwing in curve balls that were suppose to make you feel something for these actors. If Brad Bird wasn't on the set for this movie, many people would be speaking a different pitch. Not that he did an inexcusable job, but it was depressing nonetheless.
Honestly, the most disappointing installment by far. The plot sucks people.
I personally loved this movie for the excellent piece of escapism it is.
Slow parts? To an ADHD kid hopped up on cola and Skittles maybe.
The plot was lean but needed to be to maintain the pace of the movie and did involve enough twists and turns to keep the characters and the audience on their toes.
I also liked the fact that it was a real team effort this time, each character having his or her unique motivation and opportunity to shine.

Try explaining nuclear world warfare, russian launch codes, and tactical satellites to a toddler. I doubt you get very far..
I think you were just trying to come up with a catchy one liner, but you failed to include logic or truth.
Regardless, I understand what you are saying.
