I didn't even think the first one was very good, but rather the sequels were great, while 3 was a masterpiece.

Completely agree, in fact this actually IS more sophisticated than Toy Story in terms of situations and conflict XD

Exactly, Not that they are bad movies; because they're not at all; but I like this even more than Toy Story. Probably my favorite animation.

feel the same..never liked toy story more than monsters inc...toy story is a great movie but it annoys me when they say it is the best there is,just the way you feel.err, its the critics, when one of em makes a statement, the others cant help but follow and eventually it ends up like-what they praise is the best material

Right! Especially because Monster's Inc. is personally my favourite. However, they may be saying that Toy Story is more sophisticated than other Pixar films. For example, when I was little, there was a lot of parts to the story I just didn't quite understand until I was older, meaning it's also for adults, while Monsters is more appropriate for children than Toy Story. And since all critics are adults, they always favour the ones that have a richer meaning for older audiences.

I agree, but why do they always say that? Its so dumb!
