You know that when an acting joke like Christopher Lambert won't even return for the sequel, some fragile line has been crossed.

Reviews for Mortal Kombat - Annihilation
As far as the plot, the repetitive bombardment of similar scenarios makes the film seem very long and painfully drawn out.
The most stimulating, satisfying aspect of this action fantasy is the theme music.
This is an example of a sequel just as terrible as the first movie: same stuff, different day.
Please, folks, unless you feel like there is nothing left for you in this world and want to end it all, avoid this film at all costs.
Here's the lowdown on the latest chapter in Mortal Kombat: deadly dull.
It's just an excuse for a series of tedious, repetitious fight scenes that have been staged with no hint whatsoever of originality.
