Even though I like the movie, your review may be the most hilarious take on the movie I have ever read. When I saw Gone with the Wind for the first time, I also thought of it as ponderous, splattery, overstuffed, and interesting in isolated sections rather than in its unsatisfactory whole. I was twelve then, and today, I'd say it is one of the best pieces of cinematic brilliance I have seen. Maybe, one day when you watch it again, beyond the first hour, it may make sense to you.
