The often silly elements of the plot dilute the majesty of the Chinese culture which it traverses, and the childish nature of the magical elements dilute the film's appeal outside a narrow target audience of undemanding kids

"dilute the majesty of the Chinese culture" - Obviously you seem to think this movie is a documentary. The Mummy series has always been an action comedy, please rate it as such. Go back to giving gold stars to arty farty movies that no-one cares about you pinky waving prat.
