Is anyone else excited for Ricky Gervais?

Some people hate him, but I really like him. He's a funny actor, and I think his style will mesh well with this new, James Bobin/Nicholas Stoller brand of Muppets.

Ricky Gervais has teeth like a vampire. It creeps me out.

Certainly not. His career has been a dismal flop ever since The Office. He delivered a passable Emmy's presentation one year, but apart from that - it's been consistentlyincredibly weak material (with the notable exception of a brilliant Simpson's episode which he wrote). He tends to be crude, offensive, often in place of wit. A queer fish, Ricky - lots of talent, obviously, but deeply flawed, equally obviously. In any case, I enjoyed this trailer. Main thing for me is that they don't award an Oscar for a pathetic theme song like for the last one. "Man or Muppet" is undoubtedly the worst ever song to win the Oscar.

Gervais can be incredibly hilarious but also incredibly annoying. I don't think he or Ty Burell belong in a muppet movie. Regardless I'm still excited.

Not just Gervais, but the whole cast is going to shine.

Ricky Gervais is alright, but he's always been a bit of a douche in my opinion, As long as he's not writing the script (Jesus, can you imagine?), I'll be happy.

I agree. Despite his Golden Globes backlash, I find him hilarious, and I even like his movies like Ghost Town. His stand-up is good too. But I'll miss Jason Segel. But he should be a good lead.
