But when they find that they're about to become fathers, they must face up to a whole new set of responsibilities. Lonnie is the most uptight of the three, who soon realizes that his girlfriend, Rolanda (Paula Jai Parker), is more interested in partying than being a mother. Aspiring record producer Dominic is having a baby with Nia (Joanna Bacalso), but he soon discovers that she has fallen in love with her midwife. And then there's G, a wannabe boxer who is unable to commit 100% to his girlfriend Xi-Xi (Bai Ling). As the pressures of parenthood put an unbearable strain on Lonnie, Dominic, and G, they gradually begin to see what's important in life, and do what it takes to become responsible adults. [More]

  • My Baby's Daddy
  • The ever outrageous Eddie Griffin (UNDERCOVER BROTHER) stars with Anthony Anderson (BARBERSHOP, SCARY MOVIE 3) and Grammy-winning rapper Method Man in this hilariously funny comedy from one of the executive producers of SCARY MOVIE! Lonnie (Griffin), G (Anderson), and Dominic (Michael Imperioli -- TV's THE SOPRANOS) are three bachelor buddies who have always thought of themselves as big-time players. But the party's over the minute their girlfriends all announce they're pregnant! Ready or not, these guys suddenly go from players ... to play time ... and deliver nonstop laughs like the ones you loved in BARBERSHOP and DADDY DAY CARE!

This stuff wasn't funny when Ted Danson, Tom Selleck and Steve Guttenberg did it 15 years ago, and it isn't funny today with this hip-hop spin.

It starts with implausible characters and descends into potty jokes (not just involving babies), racial stereotypes and a criminal lack of originality.

There are some jokes here, and any of these situations could have been funny as skits. Taken together, they're incoherent.

A father wincing at the sight of his baby's green poop is the highlight of this laugh-free comedy.

With a new focus and a massive rewrite, My Baby’s Daddy was salvageable. As is, it’s merely unwatchable.

It’s offensive, unfunny, badly acted, badly written, badly directed, and remarkably, outstandingly, disturbingly stupid.

A tired send-up of hip-hop-isms that also aspires to be a Waiting to Exhale for men.

That it took Griffin and three (credited) collaborators to come up with a script this by-numbers only proves once again that too many cooks homogenize the soup.

There is no good reason to make a trip to see My Baby's Daddy, but at least it goes down painlessly enough and isn't a complete wash.

There’s no time to be insulted by the endless string of racial jokes considering how infuriatingly literal the film is.

The movie has no idea what to do with its premise, so instead it churns out scene after scene of tired slapstick.

It feels both forced and mean-spirited, to say nothing of out-of-step with the hip-hop generation.
