Consensus: This overly silly third installment attempts to hit the same funny notes as the original, but falls flat overall.

It's sad to see what started out as such a lively and creative series descend to this -- a feeble attempt to stretch a few pedestrian jokes into a feature-length film.

A riotous comedy that -- even with a different director -- manages to remember why the original was so funny.

It occurred to me, watching the film, that what Leslie Nielsen and Priscilla Presley do here is not easy, and is done well.

Some of this is funny, but an awful lot falls flat, and the film ultimately wears out its welcome long before it's over.

Manages to be not only still funny but energetically slapped together and occasionally inventive.

While Naked Gun 33 1/3 has its share of solid laughs, it still feels a bit lacking.

Silly enough to make you laugh sometimes in spite of yourself -- at least if you're feeling like a little boy.

Any film that can resurrect Pia Zadora from obscurity, if only to plunk a tuba on her head and toss her off a stage, deserves some kind of award.
