The film is just plain hilarious and I was extremely impressed at the way [Les] Claypool pulled it all together in his first directorial effort.

Audience Reviews for National Lampoon Presents Electric Apricot: Quest for Festeroo

Les Claypool did to Jam Bands what Banksy did to pop culture artist. Hilarious takes jabs at lots of people in the hippie jam band culture.

It's a pretty funny movie that jabs at "Jam Band" culture and I enjoyed it. Maybe more because I wanted to and I'm a huge Les Claypool fan. It also makes it a little more enjoyable knowing that it was done in that "Christopher Guest" style without a script.

Quirky and entertaining, Claypool's film follows in the vein of Reiner's classic music mockumentary, yet incorporates enough originality in its own humor to distance itself from being labeled another crack at Spinal Tap.
