Trailer Bulletin: RV
by Scott Weinberg | January 04, 2006
Discuss Article
For those who can't get enough of the schtick doled out in movies like "National Lampoon's Vacation" and "Johnson Family Vacation," get ready for the Barry Sonnenfeld-directed "RV," which stars Robin Williams and several screaming co-stars. Check out the all-new trailer right here.

In case you couldn't tell, the flick is "about an average, dysfunctional American family who is about to set off on the most dangerous, high-stakes, life-threatening and traumatizing adventure of their lives: two weeks together in an RV."

Columbia plans to release the comedy on March 24th. Williams co-stars include Cheryl Hines, Jeff Daniels, and (arrestingly enough) Will Arnett & Tony Hale.

Yeah Jeff Daniels is hilarious, but unless the held all the funny parts out of the trailer, this is going to bomb.

This film actually has a pretty good pedigree; so I'll hold out hope on this one. Remember absolutely hilarious comedy trailers aren't necessarily a good sign of what a film will be like

It seems like the new thing for comedians is to make a movie about being a father.

There's Adam Sandler's Click, Robin Williams' RV, Steve Martin's Cheaper by the Dozen (I'm of course using the term 'movie' lightly).

It's like as if Cosby-style comedy is making a come back.
